About Us

The Story of Ark Project

It all began in the faraway land of Hong Kong back in 2021. The land known for its skyscrapers, cuisine, and of course, junk boat parties. The concept is rather simple: find a roomy boat, gather fellow sailors, and get the party going. How is it different from the traditional yacht charters, you may ask? Simple - it involves no pretentiousness and is about as authentic and fun as it gets when it comes to experiencing the sea.

And that was exactly what Finland was missing until now.

The Ark has arrived.

Our Values

01

Authenticity

Given the vessel’s ancient history, it is only right to pay tribute by maintaining its authentic boat spirit. You will notice it right away when stepping onboard the Ark. Even though it is equipped with the latest tech and amenities, you can’t help but sense the feeling of being on an actual boat from the previous century.

02

Accessibility

One thing we hear more often than ever from our guests is how unique the views at sea are. Not only do you get a totally new perspective of Helsinki, but you also explore places you never knew existed. We believe that everybody should be able to experience this beauty, which is why we strive to offer our cruises at as accessible a rate as possible.

03

Freedom

The sensation of being at sea has always been associated with tranquility and a feeling of freedom. We want to maintain that feeling for everyone who steps foot on the Ark, allowing them to freely choose the routes, destinations, and activities on board. Are you into socializing? Fishing? Yoga? Relaxing? Swimming? Ark can be whatever you imagine it to be.

A seasoned seadog of a Co-Pirate and the one that has stumbled upon this revolutionary concept back in 香港 (Hong Kong). Water has been one's element ever since one was a kid. If we're on the sea, then we're singing ABBA.

With idols like Captain Haddock, Jack Sparrow, and Horatio Nelson, it was a no-brainer to be a Co-Pirate of the project. The deeper connection to the sea goes all the way back to the military service in the Navy.

A Century at Sea: The Ark

update_29_edited.jpg

Built in the shipyards of Norway in 1919 and originally named Veera, this sturdy vessel has seen it all. For decades, it braved the Scandinavian seas before finding a new home in Finland in the 1960s. This resilient vessel has weathered storms, even sinking near Hanko before being dramatically rescued and restored time and again.

Today, known as the Ark, it is in its finest form yet. The vessel proudly navigates the waters of Helsinki and brings the beauty of the archipelago to locals and visitors alike, serving as a living testament to a century of maritime adventure and unwavering resilience.
